QUALITATIVE ASSESSMENT OF JOB EXPERIENCE FOR SUPPORT TO SELF-DEVELOPMENT

Consulting on workplace development needs valid and sensitive methods to assess individual differences in the process to support effective coping with job demands. This study tested a qualitative assessment technique as part of a project about how individuals can retieve and use their job experiences to value and cope with new challenges at work.

This pilot study explored how individuals´ systematic reflections and qualitative judgements of significant personal job experiences can supplement quantitative ratings of general work conditions to highlight individual differences and aspects of coping. The study is part of a project about how individuals can recall and use their job experiences to value and cope with challanges at work.
